Frustrated...

Anger...completely tempered...Raged...Furious...Frustrated...

I cant seem to log in into MSN...and that angers me...

Sometimes... technology can be ur best fren. And at times, they can really kick you hard in the ass.

Damn MSN...

Moving on...

NYPians do have a sense of humour...coz when we get frustrated with a vending machine that doesnt work, we place notes on it that says "Coin Eating Machine"... That deserves a good laugh...

Azmi must be losing his touch to write his blog entries, coz he is now stoning in front of his laptop thinking of what to write ( Muz be from the frustration of not being able to go online...)

And azmi learnt something about himself today... His head gets itchy when he gets frustrated or stressed... So thats why he keeps scratching his head when he's got a project to hand in...

Oh well...azmi shall now try to re-install MSN, and see what happens... See you soon online...

azmi out...

aniwaez... the countdown has already begun...

On a dark rainy night...in school...

Well, it's not actually nighttime yet, more like late evening. Timecheck, 7.15pm, here with the library research carrel, beside two pals of mine. We were a family of four juz now, but one had to leave and then there was three.

These three (aka Wong, Cleo and Keiko...) can make me stay in school all day, and i'll still enjoy every second of it.

None other than the people that make my school life complete. All 3 of them... Team Cheiron... Velda... Cherri... Andre...

Forcing my bro Andre to blog for the first time in many months. More than 9 months to be exact. If velda and cherri was to be pregnant (juz a figure of speech...hehe), our family would have grown bigger with two kids alreadi...HAHA...

Cant believe andre can get a writers' block juz thinking of what to blog. I mean...juz talk la bro. About politics...women...school...anything... Juz dun criticise the government too much...

Niwaez...i muz say life in poly was not as i imagined to be. I've made frens that would live with me till the end of time... Frens that i would treasure till my time is up, and beyond...

Frens that i would love... In sickness or in health... Till death do us part...

Seriously...

Azmi out

...Sometimes late at night...

I heard voices in my head...
The dropping of marbles...
Mumbles and laughters...
Creaking of the door...
At times i see them...
White flashes of light...
Swaying shadows on the wall...
and worst...

something wrong with blogger and i cant seem to space the entry out, so everything seems squashed...apologies for that...

I was thinking of what to write, and this crosses my mind.
If you're reading this alone at night, you may want wait till the protection of daylight...
I've been fortunate for their appearances to me has always been vague...such as shadows, orbs, mysterious lights on the wall or just fast glimpses...
There are times when i see so clearly...
But then again...i can hear them... Maybe it's juz voices in my head, or the simple matter of the mind playing tricks on you... But you choose what you want to believe, i have my own faith...
God created everything in a balance...For there is day and there is night... For there is dark and there is light...For there is evil and for there is good...
And for there is the living and for there is the dead...
It's not always that i get to see or hear them... the last one being on a trip to ubin with friends, where an empty abandoned hut shows a different side to itself... Of occupants long gone to this world, yet still lingering at their former residence. Streaks of lights through the gap on the wooden walls, mysteriously broken by moving shadows... from the inside... It may just be some pranksters, but how can the front door be shut locked?...
It may just be the island heat...
But if it isnt...then what is it?...
In my childhood, when i was too young to remember things, parents and relatives of mine said that many incidents revolve around me. My grandmother recounted once, in an evening just after sunset, I started wailing for no reason. I started pointing to the wall, as if there was something there. The men of the house were not at home for they were at the mosque for evening prayers. ( I used to live just opposite a mosque, thus the convenience to frequent there every prayer time)
I was hysterical...they said. My mum continued saying i was very hot, as if down with extremely high fever. Grandmother was chanting some verses to me, and she said my late grandfather came home soon after. My dad, she said was working late that night. My grandfather sat down and sat a verse from the Quran, and i stopped crying, as if awoken from a spell.
Grandmother said alot more things happened as my grandfather was reading the Quran, but she says talking about it just gives her the creeps. She leaves it to my imagination to know what happened, but she said it was unforgettable.
Freaky?...I'm typing this alone in my living room and i'm scared...
I usually dun tell people of the things i see...for at this time and age, it's quite unbelieveable when a guy tells you that he has seen a ghost. So most incidents i keep to myself...
You may be sitting back screaming BULLSH*T as you're reading this, but you choose what to believe.
i saw something that i shouldnt have seen while on the bus to a friend's house quite late yesterday... It was very fast, very sudden yet so vivid... Could be because of fatigue, but something that clear couldnt be just my imagination... The bus was zooming past rows of trees of the expressway, but one tree stood out...Why? Coz there was someone standing next to it...
Does the description "woman with white flowy gown with long swaying hair" sound familiar to you?
I leave you now with words with advice... You may not believe in them, for you may not have encountered them... But believe me when i say that there are things out there that God created not for the human eye to see.
You choose what to believe...
Just don't look back...

It's been a very long long week...

Have not blogged for almost two weeks already...reasons being that i'm either too busy, or juz plain old lazy. But whatever it is, azmi is now back on cyberspace and blogging again...for now. I will take you thru what has happened this past two weeks, and boy were they all memorable. It's going to be a long entry, but i assure it'll be worthwhile reading. Coz doesnt matter who you are, be it my MS fren, my malay mosque brothers, my ex Evgians, or even some chap on the street...The happenings of my past two weeks involve you...TRUST ME!

Let me start backwards...starting from the happenings of TODAY! Well, the gang went to eat Botak Jones, but sadly, these "botak western people" dun understand the potential advantages of going halal!... #$%&^#%... It's no fun to see people around digging in scrumptuous steak and chips when u have to go "travel" for a plate of nasi padang.

Sometimes, the life of a minority can be kinda hard, but at least i have understanding frens who make me feel right at home... (but hey, you cant escape from the occasional times when u feel alienated...like when ur other frens start speaking their mother tongues or start conversing in Cantonese in front of you... how would you feel if i spoke bahasa melayu in ur face knowing well that you dun speak the language!... so a little consideration for this little brother wont hurt)

WATCHED CASINO ROYALE AFTER THAT!!!... Woo hoo...it has all the elements in making a good Bond movie... Sexy babes...hot bed scenes...massive gun fire...a hunky star? (well, that's debatable...) Nice movie la overall, although i muz admit i'm not a fan of Bond movies, so cant say i enjoy it very much...But hey, ok la for 6 bucks...

THEN came the highlight of the day...Went back to evg for the prefects camp Campfire... Always an event to look forward to every year. This year was good, very good. Almost as good as when i organised it 3 years ago...haha... Met bernice for the first time in 2 years... Thats a very long time. Muz say she's kinda cute (haha, if u're reading this bernice...yes, i'm saying u look cute...hehe) Very fun batch this year campers are... Very enthu, very hyper... I like...

(Oh yah, come to think of it, Bernice looks kinda like Velda!...Really! Now that i'm imagining them both in my head...Ya, they do look alike... So i guess that makes velda cute too...hehe, she's always cute!)

Well...all that happened today, and i'm barely to the end of my entry. Still a long way to go, so maybe i'll speed up on the rest...
Ice skating last saturday...Very tiring...very fun? (again, thats debatable...its no fun when u keep falling and making ur bum all wet!) But hey, any time wif frens are times to remember fondly... But that said, i dun think i'll ever go ice skating EVER again... hehe... sorry... juz not my cup of tea...

The day before, i went Hari Raya visiting with the brothers. We were our goofy selves as usual, and had loads of enjoyment taking pictures here and there, (and imagining that there was an angel everytime we took a picture, coz there's always excessive sunlight at the back, causing a bright beam of light...or otherwise known as an "angel"...haha!)

Of course, this is one of our nicer pics...and there's no "angel" here... Juz that u noe, that kid at the top is no relation to any of us, he's juz some kid playing the playground...

Spent alot of money these past weeks...ALOT!...But at least i use my money to spend it on quality time with family and frens...At least all that hard work at Metro was worth it...hehehe...

So...if u are reading this sentence, means u have read the entire entry, and for that, azmi thanks you. I guess there's plenty of silly grammatical or vocab mistakes in this super long entry, but hey, nobody's perfect.

Looking forward to all the wonderful things planned for the upcoming days... That means more quality time with you!...

azmi thanks you for reading...but most importantly, thank you for being my friend...Awww!...

so peepz..see ya...god bless...azmi out...

Friday was a BLAST!

Once again, THANKS GUYS FOR COMING DOWN TO MY REALLY HUMBLE HOME! YOU HAVE MADE MY YEAR COMPLETE YET AGAIN!...

I'm not gonna yap so much, I'm juz goin to let the pictures do all the talking.

Oh yah, on behalf of my family, thanks for all the goodies u guys bought for us. U shudnt have la, we dun expect anything in return. But realli, A VERY BIG THANK YOU from azmi and family...

Picture a bit blur, forgot to switch my resolution. Niwaez, look how engrossed jessica and joy are playing my xbox. Turns out, the xbox wasnt the most popular mode of entertainment after all. It was the TV. Why? Coz all of you kiddish people are nuts about Power Rangers. I've watched that show a dozen time, and i'm sure u have too.

Aniwaez, what was darryn trying to do in this picture? Looks damn crude la...haha...
Again, pardon the crappy picture quality. My camera very cheap kind la, buy at Sim Lim for a mere 200 bucks, complete with all the SD cards and technical quizmos some more. Niwaez, it's always a nice sight seeing a group of close friends sitting cosy on my couch, watching Big Mommas House 2... Hope u enjoyed it...

Hey hey... The girls' picture didnt turn out so bad after all. Haha... Looks like they had so much fun, fun eating that is... HAHA! How was the mee rebus?... I juz realised this morning that i only have one small freaking serving of that nice meal yestrday...too busy la... But i did get to taste it, and boy it was goood!

My sister took this picture, and i think her hand was trembling, that why it's a bit fuzzy. But it's a nice group photo...everybody seems so happy... Must be the spike that i secretly added into ur drinks...Haha, juz kidding...

Oh man, my sister muz realli go for some camera photo taking class or something. But hey, she's onli 8, so she's pardoned i guess. Aniwaez, here's all u kids trying to act like Power Rangers. And who's Edmund trying to be? Alpha?... And sorry velda, ur face got cut off half...i bet you'd make a fine power ranger...hehehe...
Thanks again to all of u...for making yesterday one of the best days of the year...
SINFONIA WAS GREAT! ALTHOUGH I FELT LIKE SLEEPING THRU SOME OF THE SLOW NUMBERS (tired la, it's not easy being a host for an open house u noe) , I FORCED MYSELF AWAKE THRU OUT THE WONDERFUL PERFORMANCE. KUDOS TO AMELIA AND GANG! ( and boy were u an excellent conductor. I think the only "conductor" i can be in life is a Bus conductor...hehe)
Have a nice weekend guys...and thanks again...
(hey andre, can pass me the "group" video we took in my room? I'd love to show it to my mum and tell her how wonderful u guys are!...)
azmi happily signing out...

Azmi's humble home opens itself...

Well, what will hari raya be like without a trip down to your Malay friend's house... What's the use of Hari Raya if u dun get to taste all the delicious kuehs and goodies... What will Hari Raya be like without...YOU!...

So this friday, make urself free from 2.30pm to 6pm. Take a trip down to woodlands and come visit ME! Below are the details...

Venue:
Blk 741, Woodlands Circle
#04-421
(Juz take the lift to the 4th flr and turn right. My house will be smacked at ur face...Impossible to not find it)

Here's a simple map...

The red star is my house...and the blue star is the bus stop you must alight from.

1. Take an MRT down to Woodlands.

2. Take 913 from Woodlands Interchange at Berth 7 ( Not to be confused with Berth 12 or 13, there's 913 over there as well. 913 is a loop service, so it goes to both sides of Woodlands)

3. Alight at the 9th bus stop (so better dun lose count)...its a bus stop in front of a multi storey carpark.

4. You would noe that u have alighted correctly if u see a green school. Called Evergreen Primary. My block is opposite that school...

Easy?...Of course it is...

But if u fear getting lost and all that nonsense...juz liaise with the many people in class who have been to my house. Juz ask around... Azmi wont be picking anybody up or anything like that, I'll be too busy at home...

Anything juz call me either at my HP or my residence at 63689261...

Be warned though, if u come b4 2.3opm, chances are i wont be at home yet coz i'll be at the mosque.

So, i look forward to seeing you this friday...All are invited...Even some passerby who accidentally stumbles into this note...HAHA!...

No forcing though...if u cant make it...its ok...fine with me...but do try to make it down...

See yah!

Singapore...Are we really a multi-racial society?

The Chinese call it "Yum Cha"...

The Malays call it "Lepak Minom Kopi"...

And i call it... " Rilek one corner for 4 hours...AND drinking kopi!"...

What ever u call it, it's still a fun thing to do, especially with those closest to you. So every moment spent with friends, is a moment to remember. ( i can imagine some people going "Awww" rite now as they read that statement... Haha!)

It's a very nice sight to behold... A group of friends...of different shapes and sizes, height and width, but with a common interest, sitting together round a table, having a nice meal and well, basically spending good quality time together. But most importantly, it's always nice to see a group of people from different ethnicity bonding together... Isnt that what Multi-racialism is all about?

Singapore, if u still dun noe, is made up of 4 major races. Namely 70% from the Chinese, 14% from the Malays, 7% from the Indians and the rest are mainly Eurasians...and others... So yah, i think it's safe to say we a fairly mixed country.

We've been drilled about the importance of multi-racialism since we were that wee high... Remember ur primary sch textbooks, where every English passage and every Math problem sum will have a representative from each race...Namely Ah Tan, Ah Mat, Ah Joo and Ah John. (HAHA!) They all seem to get along so well with each other... but question is, is it really true in real Singapore?...

I believe so...even if it's not true...i choose to believe so...

But until all the racial stereotypes about one another cease...until that day comes, Singapore still has a long way towards reaching true multi-racialism.

I believe that one day... groups of different races are not longer an uncommon sight marching at Orchard Road...

I believe that one day... Multi racial partnership are rampant that shops like The Prata Yong Tau Fu House or The Nasi Lemak Fish N Chip Cafe will spring up every where.

I believe that one day... Couples each from a different race, holding hands romantically down the Esplanade will not make our heads turn and frown...

Even for me, i dun think it's such a bad thing for a Malay guy to date a Chinese girl...and for An Indian girl to go out with a Chinese guy...and vice versa...

( My mum was talking to one of my aunties juz the other day, and wasnt aware that i heard their conversation. My mum was saying," I sure hope that azmi ends up with a Malay girl. Ending up with a non-malay one will be SO problematic!"... I think she's a little worried, coz she noes i've had past relationships with non-malay girls before. But she doesnt want me to eventually end up marrying one... What do u think?...)

To sum things up, i am thankful to be around people of different ethnicity, of different backgrounds, each unique in their own way...

I look forward to more yum cha sessions, and many more bonding activities...hehehe...

And so my fellow singaporeans, if u're the type that only mixes with ur own race, Go on! Take chances, Do something new! Go have kopi with that the Chinese dude in class, or go down and play soccer with ur Indian neighbour.

And so, if u see that nice Malay boy in your class and u feel like dating him, i'd say go for it...hehe...

Lets make Singapore truely Multi Racial.

By the way...it's like deja vu to have Cheiron back together again. It'll be juz like old times, where we can moogle and sprout wonderful ideas...hehehe...Boy am i euphoric!!!...

Peace up...azmi the future MP who will push for true multi-racialism signing out...
