I'm seriously running out of entertainment in my house...

I used to crave for off days back when i was with Metro... now, everytime i get one, i'm wishing for a speedy return back to work.

Xbox has been down for more than a month now, and being my primary source of entertainment, i have been one dull boy these few weeks...

I now find myself walking aimlessly round the house looking for something to do. And everytime i bump into my mum, i would sigh,"Nak buat aper eh?" ("What to do huh?")

I would stare blankly into my piles of vcds and dvds, sorting them one by one...

P.Ramlee movies...watched them all...

Star Wars...maybe later...

Lord of The Rings...Just finished watching these...

Naked Gun...funny, but just watched this last sunday...

Mary Poppins...hmm, not in the mood for musicals now...

And i would sit my ass off in front of the laptop, thinking of what to surf...

Blog-hopping...done that, countless times...

Youtube-ing...everyday...

Blogging...ever so often...

Oh well, i've got 'tagged' by Khairul, and to quote from his blog...

Off to town tmr with azhar...been a long time since i've gone jalan2 in town... but hey, i go to town for work everyday...hehehe...

It'll be another 3 weeks or so before school starts, and boy cant i wait... This happens every single semester, every single holiday... While people are sitting their ass off at home watching hours after hours of prisonbreak or desperate housewives, and also praying for a longer holiday, Here i am slaving at work wishing for a speedy return back to school...

I mean, dont u guys miss school?!...I do...hehehe...

Oh well, i guess if i'm having fun in some part of Australia, or happily visiting some long lost relatives in China, or having the time of my life just relaxing at home, i'll be wanting a longer holiday too... But hey, my life as a floor manager has to go on... Not that i'm complaining though...hehehe...

1st April 2007...

Remember this date people...for it shall be the day i will start wearing my manager uniform... Thats right... A smacking new dashing maroon shirt, minus the ridiculous cap...hehe... Actually i've gotten my uniform already, but bossman said give it another week, not that i mind...I'd rather polish up my skills first rather make a fool in front of the customers...

(note to self... When bossman wants to order my 2nd set of uniform, please go and tell him to order the 'L' size... The 'XL' he gave me is FREAKING HUGE!!!... How was i supposed to know that the manager size XL is different from the crew size one?... Maybe the mcdonalds tailor thinks that managers are generally more big sized than the crew huh?)

Tomorrow off...again!... I'm getting too many off days man... this week alone i'm only working 3 freaking days...wtf... I think i shall ask bossman to put me up for full shifts come april, want to earn that extra few bucks la...hehe...

Pay's in...but as predicted, it depleted quite quickly...after paying my debts to my mum, paying the internet bills and topping up the ezlink cards...

Oh well, so much for wanting to buy a new handphone...

Maybe with next month's pay la...It wont be long, considering that i get my pay every two weeks...Hehe...

Already listed down the things i want to buy...but first muz see whether got enough money la...hehehe...

1) New Handphone...Nothing too fancy. A nice 2nd hand phone wud do. Besides, all i need a phone for is to make calls and send smses only what. Btw, i'm changing my phone coz i need to leh, my current K500i abit old alreadi. Keeps malfunctioning on me...tisk tisk...

2) Belanje family makan... as promised...hehehe

3) That nice shirt i saw at John Little, while going out with izzat the other day. (bro, if u dun want it, i want leh...Too bad i cant go to the DnD, if not i wud have worn that shirt...hehehe)

And thats about it...you cant do much with a couple of hundred dollars can you...Oh well, i'm still grateful to God that i have a job to say the least...hehe...

Btw, my hair is getting freaking long...it looks more like a bush than human hair. But then, hati dah niat ar... I will only cut me hair when me gets me manager uniform...hehe...which shud be soon, i hope...

Oh well, enuff of my rantings...shall go surf the net for a little longer, then maybe cook myself supper or something... CSI's starting later, at 1am...on Channel 5 that is...reruns of it...

I am mixed with emotions now...

On one side...elated, utter happiness, overspilling with joy...

On the other... frustration, anger, fed-up...

But before u make ur own assumptions, let me elaborate.

I'm super-happy with my exam results. It's may not the best of the lot, but old azmi is satisfied. Thank god i passed MMR, it was the paper that i was least confident in. Phew!...

That said, all the other papers were good too... A nice ending to my last exams of poly life... Hehe...

But hey, on the flipside... I am super frustrated. Why?... My pay havent come in yet leh. I thought it was supposed to come in on the 16th, latest 18th...or something like that. When Richard (my boss...) explained to me about the pay and all on the first day, i wasnt paying that much attention la...maybe my mind was drifting away coz tired mah first day work...

Note to self...Tomorrow muz ask him when i see him...MUST!!!...

So much for the long weekend...but pocket empty...sigh...

but at least my weekend isnt all that lonely with despair coz no money...hehe...still had fun going out here and there...

AND CAN U BELIEVE I PLAYED PARA PARA YESTERDAY!!!... never in my mature teenage life will i ever think of playing that game... But hey, when its done in the company of good frens, it doesnt hurt the ego that much...hehe... That said, u will never catch me playing that game by myself...

Meeting Izzat later to watch 300... which according to Darryn has alot of ehem ehem...hehehe...

Oh well... I think what my mum said just now what right... The later i get my pay, the later i will spend it all... True, if i've gotten my pay last week, it would have depleted rapidly over the weekend...

I shall be patient...I've been patient for the past two weeks, i shud be able to wait another week or so...

Ok then...i shall end here for today...

Was getting really bored today, and thought of what to do...

So yah, i did it again, i changed my blogskin...

Hope you like it... I liked my previous blogskin, with all the pink and all. But then again, i could always use a new blogskin.

Another week at McDonalds have passed. Proceeded to the next station, counter! So yup, i can take order and all now. I'm trying to get myself verified for this station by the end of next week, and then move on to the next station. Before u noe it, i'll be a full-pledged floor manager. Hehe...

I'm now staring at my laptop screen, thinking of what to blog about... I have a thousand and one things to say, but my mind is just blank rite now... Dunnoe what to write...

Ah yes... as andre wud say it, "I've got INSPIRASI!!!"...

Work at McDonalds is seriously taking a toll on me... A VERY HUGE ONE!!!...

Remember when i worked at Metro, and i keep dreaming about shoes, and hearing voices in my head asking for shoes sizes and all, this time its worse, alot worse!...

I keep hearing the beeping sound of the fryer... I keep hearing orders of burgers and products that i need to cook... I can even smell BURGERS AND FRIES!!!...

I didnt sleep all too well last night... Went to bed early actually, at ten after a hard day's work, but i tossed and turned so hard i only got to sleep at 2am... I keep hearing burger orders and fryer beepers...

But i'll get over it... it usually takes a month or so for my mind to adapt to things... only then will the dreams and voices in the head stop... Happens every time...

It happened with Long John Silvers...
It happened with Watsons...
It happened with CPF...
It happened with Metro...
and yup, it has happen again with McDonalds...

I bet it will happen again with IPP...

On my way home just now, i saw something that i have not seen FOR YEARS...in singapore that is. Take a trip across the causeway and u'll see shitloads of it... U want to noe what it is?...

AN ILLEGAL PIRATED VCD VENDOR!!!...

I thought these things were 'extinct' in present Singapore...

Sure they were rampant like 4-5 years back...but since the police made raids after raids after raids, they kinda disappeared!!!...

Until just now...

But i'm pretty darn sure the police will come by soon... There's bound to be some good samaritan who will dial 999, and the men in blue will arrive soon after. Hehe...

Got two days rest from work...again... I keep getting off days, not that i'm complaining though...

"Welcome to our monthly management meeting...first on our agenda today, We have a new member onboard the management team...So Azmi, would you like to introduce yourself to the managers?..."

My First Management Meeting...

It felt weird, but at the same time a fresh new experience...

I mean, at 19, not many can proudly say that they are managers of a well-established organization...Even if i'm just the floor manager, i'm still a manager what...hehehe...

But still, my big boss doesnt know that i only have at most till October to be with them... I havent told him about my IPP yet... Maybe i'll tell him in June or July la...hmm...

So i've made up my mind. I shall continue on even in TEP...TEP are only on weekdays, 8.30-6... so i can still do weekends...

Only time will tell whether i'll be able endure the tight schedule once school starts...

By the way, i'll still wearing the stupid, ridiculous, ugly and highly unfashionable crew uniform, complete with the ridiculous CAP!...but for now, i dun care very much. My pay is still the floor manager pay, and that's more important...hehehe...

Now thinking back, i should have joined McDonalds a long time ago...

School starts in about a month...i think... My boss also doesnt know when i'll start back school, coz i myself dun noe when... Shall tell him soon la... It shud be on the 16th April rite?...

i'm reading back at this entry, and realised that it's all over the place, jumping from one topic to another...but hey, who cares?...hehe...

Tomorrow's my off day...again...and my first pay shud be coming in next week or so...hehe...

Havent posted pics for quite a while now... Was looking thru my camera for pics and came across these fews... Some dating as far back as last year...

Family and i went Vivocity last saturday...Spent some good quality time just chilling out with my loved ones... Caught GhostRider too...finally...

This was my dad's birthday i think...LAST DECEMBER!!!

A more recent pic... This was a my parent's 19th wedding anniversary celebration... It may seem like dejavu, but both my youngest sister and I bought my parents the same gift... A MUSIC BOX!!!...Lucky it was a different make and play a different tune...Phew!...

A bowling outing with qamarul, faizal and azhar...last december i think, slightly after Hari Raya...

Sorry if the picture's abit too dark...no flash la... Also another bowling outing, this time with big bro Izzat...Shall go for another soon...Just waiting for my first pay to come in...hehehe...

Well...those are some of the pics that i've discovered left in my camera. There were some more but i think i've posted the particular event alreadi... I now have this habit of not clearing my SD cards after each occasion, leaving my camera with full of pictures, some of which i dun even remember...hehe...

Well, working morning tomorrow...plus i still havent studied my 'notes'... That's right...NOTES...notes on how to prepare the perfect burger and frying the perfect fries...hehe...

3 days into my new life as a Mcdonalds employee...

Well, it's four actually, but i got saturday off, for reasons i also dunnoe why...hehe...

Niwaez, as of now, i can safely say i like my job...on the other hand, i can also safely say that i hate my job...so in conclusion, i dun feel anything la rite now. It's a sad mix of satisfactory and agony...

On one hand i'm starting to love this job...the people and the atmosphere is just so welcoming...

On the other hand, i'm starting to ask questions to myself... "Can you really keep this up for the next 7 to 8 months?"...Can you?...

We'll just wait and see...

Three days into my new "career", and i must say i know my way well around the 'kitchen'...hehe...

I can now safely say that my skills in preparing Filet-O-Fish, McChicken and McSpicy are quite fair... Not to mention my frying abilities and the Art of French Fries preparation... I learn ALOT of things on my own, that i just realised... For example today, i was taught McChicken and McSpicy, but i ended up learning Apple Pie, McWings, McNuggets, frying this and that...ALL by myself... plus one for me...hehe

today has its fair bit of mishaps though...there was this time that my filet-o-fish turned out as hard as biscuits, coz i left it out of the steamer for too long... And guess who was there to receive my filets...None other than my boss la...I could feel his frustration, but on one hand, he could'nt scold me coz i was still a newbie...So there i was, brushed aside for a little, looking at my boss taking over my station... Imagine the feeling man... But my boss's a nice guy... He then gave me some pointers, and understood my dilemma... Its was my 2nd day in that station, and i just learnt two new burgers earlier on. He understood that i couldnt possibly handle everything and know everything perfectly in just two days... Even floor managers need to pace themselves...hehe...

So...one station down...another 4-5 more to go...I think i'll do just fine...Plus, i think i'm adapting to my new work surroundings ... Havent met all my fellow crew members, plus this one other manager too...this one manager that all the crew says is very fussy...hehe, cant wait to meet her...hehe...

I guess that wraps my extremely long entry... I'm off to bed now for a good night's sleep, my legs are killing me...

It is official...Azmi is not jobless anymore...

And i think, if all goes well, he is not going to be jobless for a very very long time...

My first day on the job jus now...assumed my position as trainee floor manager with Mcdonalds...FINALLY!...haha...

Wasnt all that i expected it to be...I mean, i used to work at Long John Silvers a couple years back and it is totally different... TOTALLY!!!...but the story is best told for another day...hehe...

Niwaez, i have to wear the "not-so-nice" crew uniform for the time being...a month or two, depending on how fast i learn. And yup, that mean wearing that ridiculous cap...RIDICULOUS...(u reading this izzat, the cap is RIDICULOUS...haha!!!)...That said, i dun have anything else to hate other than the uniform...not yet that is... It was only my first day, and there are so many more things that i can hate, oops, i mean love...hahaha...

I think i'll survive...I'm going to make this work...C'mon azmi, u can do it... All u have to endure is the long 1hour journey to Dhoby Ghaut and the ridiculous uniform for 2 months...and puff! Nice manager uniform man!...hehehe...

I think this job is here to stay, even when school reopens.

A very big thank you to Izzat, who ultimately is responsible for getting me this job. I owe you dinner man... Soon, soon...hehehe
